Teaching On Families

Families are one of the most important subjects in this
world and I believe this is very important to the lord God
Almighty also.
I know in these times we live in they are very difficult. It seem everywhere we turn people are so unhappy, even in our own families we see so much stress and anger and loneliness and depression. We find ourselves not knowing what to do.

There could be many reasons for this:
One, it could be that you are trying to deal with it in your own way or maybe you are trying to deal  with them like your parents did.

As loving Christians that we are we need to see if we are trying to use the world standards to deal with the problems in our families.
God didn't leave us with no knowledge as to how to deal with situations in our life's.
If you feel like a burned out parent, I have the book for you it is called the bible.

I am going to give you some scriptures which will be dealing with who you are in the Lord as a parent.
Fathers, will also see the roles the lord has given them.
I would like you to study these scriptures for yourselves. and I know the lord will reveal the answers you need for your questions in dealing with situations in your families.

Psalm 128: 3-8
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table.
4.  Behold, thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the Lord.
5.  The Lord bless you out of Zion, And may you see the good of Jerusalem All the days of your life.
6.  Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel!

I like how the lord God speaks to the woman of the home. he speaks of her as being a fruitful vine, this vine is alive because it is producing fruit and it is not  just having children he is speaking about but she is very productive in many areas in her life. her home is full of the fruit she is producing.
The wonderful thing about this fruit that this women produces is that it can be enjoyed by her family and friends. it is a product of her growth in the lord which brings blessings to her family.

Don't forget the opposite of the fruitful woman is the unfruitful woman. This women is not able to bear anything for her family to enjoy.

Now, the lord God also speaks to the Father of the home and this is what he says to him "if you fear me you will be blessed'.
Now, here the word 'fear' simply means that he is to reverence him, to be in awe of the Lord and his work.

The Father is to reflect on the things the Lord has done in his life and know that what the lord says he will accomplish in his life .
You are to be blessed if you fear the lord, and he then adds a blessing to this when he says you will see your children's children.
This is really exciting to know you will see your grandchildren's.

What he is saying here to you men is never forget what you have seen the Lord God do for you. May his miracles have a deep and permanent effect upon your lives. Tell your children and your grandchildren about the glorious miracles he did.
Speak to your wonderful children of the God that you serve, of how he forgave you, of the mercies and blessing he desire to bless them with.
I believe this shows the father in the home that the responsibly of the home welfare belongs to him. I believe the woman the lord has given him will be the best helper he will ever have. It is the responsibility of the father to know what is being done in his home on a daily basis.  He has to realize that church can only teach so much but the responsibility of the bible reading and the prayer in the home falls on him.
If the husband is not saved, then the responsibly falls on the woman but she will not be alone for if she choose, the lord will guide her.
Never forget that the family is to worship together in the home as in the church gathering.

Proverbs 31:27
She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.
The role of the woman of the house is to watch that everything in her household is going great with the lord,God teachings being the foundation of their home.
Today woman, even though she works, sees to it that her family is  the first thing in her agenda. She leave her home in order with the help of her husband and her family.. A job should not interfere with her job as wife and mother. She should not spend her time doing nothing. Her time should be important to her.

1 Timothy 3:4
One who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence.

Again, we see the Lord speaking again to the man of the home. He is to see that the home is under the laws of the lord for the home to be blessed. Things have to be done according to God's ways of doing things. A father must exercise his authority in the home over his family so peace and joy abides in his family.

Psalm 133:1
Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.
This means the family should be so united that all live in a state as one. Peace and harmony should be the goal of each person in the family.

Matthew 18:21
The Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"

Matthew 18:22
Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

I believe that forgiven is the major thing in a family life. I believe living together everyday produces a lot of stress.
I believe that God revealed the perfect plan for his children to live together.

Psalm 101:7
He who works deceits shall not dwell within my house; He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.

We must teach our families that the Lord God doesn't tolerate deceivers and liars in his house and neither should parents in their.

Deut. 29:18
lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, who heart turneth away this day from Jehovah our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood.

Warn your family of the dangers of turning away from God.
God says on the day they do this a root will be planted that will grow bitter and poisonfruit.

Parents should teach their children from the stories of these good men

Genesis 18:19  God knew Abraham was a good man
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the ways of the Lord, to do justice and judgement; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which spoken of him.

Genesis 35:2   Jacob place in the family
Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the foreign gods that are among you, and purify yourselves, and change your garments

I believe here it is telling us that we as parents should look around our homes and begin to do some house cleaning.
Jacob told his family get rid of any foreign gods in the home and purify themselves and even change the clothes they had on.
Jacob knew everything had to change in his family life for them to be pleasing to the lord God Almighty.

Joshua 24:15   Joshua knew what he wanted for his family
"And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Joshua, knew that others would have to choose to serve the Lord or not but the decision for his family was already done they would serve the lord.
I believe that every head of household should speak out on this and join Joshua and repeat the last part of this verse. "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord".

Acts 16:15    Lydia
And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay."And she constrained us.

Teach your children of the fruit people have after they have Jesus in their hearts, it is not something that has to be learned, it will come naturally.

Acts 16:31  Jailer  of Philippi
so they said, "Believe on the Lord Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

Fathers teach your children to believe in the Lord Jesus because the fruit of this belief will bring salvation to your and their own families. These are things that ought to be taught  in the home by the parent for this is their responsibility. It is a promise left to us by the Father.

2 Timothy 1:5  Lois
When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded it is in you also.

Alright, you grandma and mother's this is about as clear as it can be. Your faith will be remembered into the future and it will touch many without you even saying a word. the fruit of your faith can bring a Timothy before the presence of God Almighty.

I encourage you parents not to give up on your children but for you to study God's manual for the rearing up of your children.
Forgive yourselves and your children and begin a new life. Blessing and lot's of mercy and love await you.

The message hear is parents begin to take your place in the home, in the lives of your children's.
Go to the Bible for answers to your many questions of how to take care of your children and your husband and wife's. The answer are there.
Begin doing things God's way and see the changes in your home, some may take time but change will come.

You have been honored with children to prepare them for the kingdom of God.
God kingdom is made up of child like people, you have been given the honor to teach them God ways.
