The Bible gives us many indications that God created us
to be conquerors. This doesn’t mean in just some areas of
our life but think of it like this: Would God create us so we could live a life that was miserable?
The Bible says, “God is Love”. If someone loves you they would want the best for you.
God created us in his image because we would remind him of himself, just like when a parent look upon their children’s and it remind them of themselves. God looks on us and sees himself in us and like a parent wants us to succeed in life.
You have been created by God to be the conqueror not the conquered.
The Bible says in the book of:
Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Think about what the Bible is saying here:
If God is for us in our daily life (now we are talking about an all-powerful God that has unlimited amounts of power) who can stand against us?
Now the question here is, is God for us? Only you can come to this conclusion because you know if your life is right with God.
Bible says in:
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
This verse makes three statements:
Step 1. Have you seek God ways in your life?
Step 2. Are you living a righteous life before God?
Step 3 Will only take effect after you do steps 1 and 2 and not before.
Now if we are living our lives like it says in:
Matthew 6:33 we have the right then to stand on the promises it gives us to have victory in our lives.
The Bible is the greatest resource we have on how to get control of our lives and have the victory we want. It is unfortunate that a lot of Christians don’t use the resources (like the Bible) that God has given them. If people would only read their Bibles they would find out that they do not need to become people that are conquered but they could become the conqueror through Christ Jesus by using God's Word. Once you know the Word the Word will set you free from any bondage that you may be in.
Psalms 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivered him out of them all.
If you notice there are several keywords in these scriptures
1. Many
2. Afflictions
3. Righteous
4. The Lord delivers us out of all of them
The Bible says many are the afflictions of the righteous so we shouldn’t be surprised when trouble or afflictions come our way.
God in his Word warns us but also the same Word encourages us also.
When God finishes this verse it says “but the lord delivers him out of them all” not just in some areas but all areas.
Now if this is not enough for you let’s look in the book of:
Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
God did not create us just to be victorious in some areas of our lives but in all of them. God did not create us to be losers.
Now we know we all will be afflicted but we also know we will not face our afflictions alone.
We know that we have been created to not just conquer but to be more than conquerors. God does not limit our capabilities of becoming a conqueror only we limit our abilities to become those conquerors he wants us to be. This is why God word says, “we are more than conquerors through him that loves us”. If you do not limit God he won’t limit you.
Matthew 19:26 says:
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
We know with man nothing is possible because man is limited by their abilities but God Word says all things are possible with God.
For us to have this victory and stop being the conquered we have to start believing who the Scriptures say we are and that is “all things are possible with God”.
Notice that the scripture says “with his word”, the word with is very important because it means it takes a group effort (God and you) to make this work, together you will end up becoming the conqueror and not the conquered.
God did not put us here on this earth and then leave us to fend for ourselves but God will help us if we are willing to work with him.
No matter what you are facing with in life, God is more than able to see you through it because the promises God has given you will not fail you.
Now don’t take my word on this but read what the Bible says about this in:
Isaiah 25:8
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
(If God speaks it, it will come to pass and nothing can change this. God is an awesome God and always will be. God promises are forever and ever).
Remember this, through Jesus Christ you have power to become a conqueror.
The Bible teaches us that: ‘he who is in us is greater than he that is in the world”.
In other words, no matter what you face the God that saved you is greater than any problems, sickness or any devil that may come up against you.
1 John 4:4 teaches us this truth
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
This verse tells us 2 things:
1.That if you are God’s child you will overcome
2.This is the reason you can overcome because God is greater than any and all of your problems
And if this is not enough to motivate you to become a conqueror, God has more to say on this in the book of:
1 John 5:4-5
For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
(5) Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
I love the simplicity of God’s Word, it says: “whoever is born of God” here the question it is asking is; are you saved? If yes, then you will overcome this world’s problems in your life.
If you are a Christian saved by the blood of the Lamb you automatically become an over comer, a conqueror, a winner.
I picture in my mind that because you know this now the devil is shaking in fear because of the knowledge you now have concerning this subject because God’s word is powerful and the devil knows it.
There are a few more Scriptures I would like to share with you all concerning us being Conquerors.
I figure I have already made the devil mad so we might as well try for making him go crazy.
Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
I think that many Christians are overcome because they are not prepared for the battles that come into their life.
We must not forget the most important thing and that is that God’s Word shows us and that is (the blood) that was shed for us by Jesus Christ.
I don’t know why many of the churches are not teaching more on the shed blood of Jesus Christ that breaks the bondage of sin, sickness and disease.
We need to go back to the days when the church pleaded the blood of Jesus Christ over all the problems it’s faced.
We sing songs of the blood of Jesus but we don’t apply it unto our lives and that is a big mistake. The devil loves that we don’t use it anymore, the term there is power in the blood has been lost in the modern churches today. Because of this many people in the church suffer needlessly through sickness and tribulations because it has forgotten the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ that will set us free.
The book of:
Revelation 12:11 is a powerful scripture to use when you are going through the battles of life no matter what kind of battle it is.
Wither it is your marriage that is under attack or sickness in your body or bills piling up or you or just spiritually down, the blood of Jesus can set you free. The blood set you free at cavalry and it still has enough power today to break all bondage and make you the victor and not the victim anymore.
The devil hate it when we speak about the blood of Jesus Christ and its power. When you pray, apply the blood of Jesus over all your problems and your family.
We as Christians have to recognize one thing and that is we have to die to our flesh and live according to the spirit to be conquerors.
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
It is time we take our lives back as Christians and live according to the spirit and crucify or put to death the flesh and I am not talking literally but spiritually. The bible tells us to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.
The devil is not afraid of your flesh but he is afraid of you walking in the spirit and that is the reason we are told in God’s Word to walk not after the flesh but the spirit.
I know at time it seems that the flesh is hard to control but we must master the flesh and it desire to sin.
Remember what you sow in the flesh you will reap in the flesh and what you sow in the Spirit you will reap in the Spirit. Many of the things we go through in life and the length of time we spend in them will depend on our reactions to them. If we react in the flesh we will reap in the flesh meaning you may extend your time in that situation.
Never forget that how you react to things in your life will detimed how God will react to your situation at that time.
The biggest mistakes most people make is trying to fight spiritual battles in the flesh and that is not what the bible teaches us.
Deuteronomy 1:30
The lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes.
The battle isn’t our but God’s, all we have to do is believe that he will brings us through it as the conquerors we truly are and not the conquered; the devil wants us to believe we are. All God asks of us is to stand in faith and trust him for all things.
Deuteronomy 20:4
For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
God is saying to you here that he will fight your battles for you and he will give you victory. The only thing he asks of you is for you to stay right before his eyes and not lose your faith in him for he is able to fight your battles for you. He has said he would do it for us and he does everything his word say he will do.
1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks belong to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Christ.
We already have the victory through Jesus Christ, there is nothing for us to do but have faith in him and trust him for the victory. There is no struggle for us to get it or fight we have to enter in for we have the victory already.
We have to believe and understand we are the children of the Most High God, call by God, ordained by God, saves by God and given the victory by God.
The bible says there is no problem that can stand against you that can overtake you.
Deuteronomy 20:4
For the Lord your God is he that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
Think about it this way, allowing Jesus to fight your battles for you, it’s just like when we were young children and we would take our older brother to beat up the bully for us, as long as our older brother was there we knew we would win. It is the same way with having the lord Jesus on our side going into the battles we have this confidence we will win.
It’s not really a matter of you believing but that God’s said it that going to bring it to pass.
Believe that we are more than conquerors because God said we are.
